We first started by staying the night at my sister Leyla and brother Bate's home in Addison. The next day we attended a birthday luncheon with ladies of the family at Applebees in Ft. Worth.
Then we popped over to my Ama Homa's home for more visiting and games.
Next in Graham, we had a relaxing time at home with my mom and dad to take care of us! We watched movies, played games (Clue), and enjoyed the peace! Anisa(9 yr) independently learned to ride a bike (no training wheels), and this is significant because she never rode her bike at home. It was pulling teeth to get her on the thing! Her developing balance and riding the scooter built confidence so she tackled the bike!
A Baha'i friend Valarie Atwood (who developed the website resource: www.virtueoftheweek.org) drove with her boys, Garrett and Stewart, from Garland to visit one afternoon. She shared her homeschooling resources and was a big help in our decision to homeschool Adib for the spring semester. (Anisa and Bella are staying at Clemson Montessori).
My high school friends (Regina, Susie, and Hallie) and their family's were in town for the Holidays. Regina, Koen, Andrew, and Matthew came down from Ohio. We had a fun evening for Regina's birthday dinner (local friends Shannon and Jane Anne came).
Susie, Luke, Alex, and Arthur came from Ft. Worth area to join Regina's and my family on Friday, Dec. 28, at Hallie's childhood home in Eliasville. Hallie's hospitality of 4-wheeling, dinner, wii games, trampoline, airplane hanger tour, and pogo sticks was top notch! A great reconnecting time for us and bonding time for our children!
On our drive home on New Year's Day 2008, we again stopped to say bye to my grandmother in Ft. Worth. I was happy to see my cousin Martha, Kevin, and baby Paul who were visiting from Houston!
